4:3 mode

Note

Perform this adjustment, if necessary, to suit the custom- er’s preferences.

Preparation

.On the setup menu, set as follows.

PAGE	: S12*FUNCTION 1/2
ITEM	: DETAIL	→ ON
ITEM	: TEST OUT	→ ENC

.OUTPUT/DCC switch (inside panel) → CAM/ON

.Shoot a grayscale chart (4:3) in the full underscanned monitor frame.

Equipment	: Waveform monitor
Setting point	: 1Lens IRIS
Spec.	: A = 100	±2 IRE (NTSC)
	A = 700	±14 mV (PAL)

.Select the line at the center white portion of the gray- scale chart.

Adjustment Procedure

Equipment	: Waveform monitor
Test point	: TEST OUT connector
1. Select the 4:3 mode.
PAGE	: S14*WIDE SCREEN
ITEM	: 16:9/4:3 MODE → 4:3
2. On the setup menu, adjust as follows.
PAGE	: S18*LEVEL 1#4:3
ITEM	: DTL FREQ. <4:3> (Factory setting: 0)
Spec.	: Set the desired width at the edge of
	portion B.

Preparation

.On the setup menu, set as follows.

ITEM	: TEST OUT	→ ENC

.Shoot a grayscale chart (4:3) in the full underscanned

monitor frame.

Test point	: TEST OUT connector
Setting point	: 1Lens IRIS
Spec.	: A = 100 ±2 IRE (NTSC)
	A = 700 ±14 mV (PAL)

Test point		: TEST OUT connector
1.	Select the 4:3 mode.
	PAGE	: S14*WIDE SCREEN
	ITEM	: 16:9/4:3 MODE → 4:3
2.	On the setup menu, adjust as follows.
	PAGE	: S18*LEVEL 1#4:3
	ITEM	: H/V RATIO <4:3>
	Spec.	: Adjust so that the H and V detail

amounts which are added are equiva- lent.

After this adjustment, be sure to perform Section 7-17-4 “H/V Ratio Adjustment (4:3)”, and Section 7-17-5 “Detail Level Adjustment (4:3)”, in that order.
