Transferring from a Home phone
You can transfer a call from a phone connected in parallel to one of the incoming TalkSwitch lines (for example, your home phone if you have a
Example: You receive a call on a phone in your home that is not a TalkSwitch extension and you want to transfer the caller to Remote Extension 215. You dial * * , wait for the ‘double beep’, dial 215 and hang up. TalkSwitch now handles the call. For more details, see section 2.3.7.2.
Transfer and clear
TalkSwitch has the ability to clear lines after a call has been transferred. Ensure you have this service/feature activated on your line(s). Check under System Information
Remote Transfer
Calls that are transferred to a Remote or VoIP Extension, can be transferred back to another extension or voice mailbox. Dialing * * to place the caller on hold, then enter the extension or mailbox number. If this is set to
allow screening calls, dial 4 to complete the transfer. If you want
to cancel the transfer, dial 5. If you have selected ‘Perform a blind transfer’, the call is automatically transferred and the line is released once the extension or mailbox number has been entered.
When a call is transferred from a Remote Extension to another Remote Extension or VoIP Extension, it is always a blind transfer so that three lines are not
