Configuration G

Figure 1-8illustrates a server that is not connected to a UPS but is directly connected to the network. The server has an installed System Agent that receives commands, such as displaying a pop-up message or shutting down the operating system, from the Management Server.

NOTE: Installed agents must be associated with the correct server or UPS load segment in HP Rack and Power Manager. For information on associating agents, refer to “Attached Agents Screen” in Chapter 5.
