Section 8: Adjustment Procedures

NOTE: Perform the remaining steps if it is deemed necessary to adjust the

VR9 potentiometer.

10 Remove top, front, and left housing covers for access to main circuit board (1, Figure 8-7).

NOTE: Figure 10-1 of the Diagrams & Schematics section provides guidance on housing cover removal.

11Record all dip switch (2) positions and then switch each to the Off position.

12 Turn the dial of the VR9 potentiometer (3) midway of the scale.

13Place the DSW2-4 dip switch in the On position.

14Simultaneously, press and hold the LINE and FEED keys while switching on the power.

15Release the keys when the printer emits a beep.

LCD DISPLAY:	MAINTENANCE MODE
	DIPSW2-4 ON>OFF

16 Place the DSW2-4 dip switch in the Off position.

LCD DISPLAY: FACTORY MODE

17 Press the ENTER key to advance to the next display.

LCD DISPLAY:	COUNTER MODE
