Configuring DVMRP Interface Settings

To fully enable DVMRP, you need to enable multicast routing globally for the router (page 3-219),enable DVMRP globally for the router

(page 3-223),and also enable DVMRP for each interface that will participate in multicast routing.

DVMRP Interface Information

•Interface – VLAN interface on this router that has enabled DVMRP.

•Address – IP address of this VLAN interface.

•Metric – The metric for this interface used to calculate distance vectors.

•Status – Shows that DVMRP is enabled on this interface.
