Connecting to Devices
3. If a device you want to pair wi th isn’t listed, make it discoverabl e.
Check the de vice’s manual to learn how to make it dis coverable by
your phone as well as other instr uctions on pairing.
4. If your phone stops scanni ng before you make the other device
discoverable, tap SEARCH FOR DEVICES.
5. Tap the ID of the device in the list to pa ir them.
The devic es will pair. If you are prompted to enter a PIN or pas scode
(for a smart device), try entering 0000 or 1234 (the most common
PINs), or consult the ma nual that came with the devic e.
If the pairin g is successful your phon e will connect to the device.
Connecting to a Bl uetooth device
Once paired, you can easil y connect to the Bluetooth devic e—for
example, by switching on the dev ice or reconnecting to the dev ice when
it comes back into wireles s range.
1. From the Hom e screen, tap the Menu key > Sett ings >
Bluetooth.
2. If Bluetooth isn’t turned on, sl ide the Bluetooth switch from the OFF
position to the ON position.
3. In the list of devices, ta p a paired but unconnecte d device in the list.
If the device yo u want isn’t displayed, tap SEARCH FOR DEVICES.
When the ph one and the device are conn ected, the device is
displayed as connected in th e list.
Configuring th e Bluetooth features to u se
Some Bluetooth devices have mul tiple profiles. Profiles in clude voice
calls, music playback, or f iles and other data transfe r. You can select
which profiles you want to use with yo ur phone.
1. Tap the icon in th e Bluetooth settings scree n.
2. Check or uncheck a prof ile to use it or not.
3. When you are finish ed, tap the Back key .
