NOTES
• To focus first and then take a picture, tou ch and hold the Shutter
icon to fo cus on a subject, then lift yo ur finger to take a focused
picture.
If you want to cancel taking the pi cture, slide your finger of f the
Shutter icon and relea se your finger.
• Pictures that you take with digital zoom may be smaller (in pixels)
than the size you set with the Pictu re Size setting.
• Orientation of a picture is dete rmined according to the pho ne
orientation when tak ing a picture.
Shooting a video
1. Tap the Apps icon on the Home screen.
2. Tap the Camera icon > .
Camcorde r opens, ready to shoot a video.
Camcorde r is always displayed in landsc ape orientation.
3. You can adjust the qualit y, white balance, and other settin gs.
The preview i mage changes as you chang e the settings.
For instruct ions on how to change Camera set tings, see “Changing
Camera settings” on page 146.
4. Point the lens to frame the sc ene where you want to start.
5. Tap the start video ico n on the screen.
The camco rder starts shooting th e video. The elapsed reco rding time
is displayed on the right. Wh en the remaining time be comes less than
a minute, the countdown displays i n red color.
6. Tap the stop video icon to stop shoot ing.
An image fro m your most recent video is di splayed as a thumbnail at
the top right.
7. Tap the thumb nail to view, share, and work with your vi deos in
Gallery.
