Monitoring and co ntrolling what uses t he battery
The Battery Use scree n shows which application s consume the most
battery power.
You can also use it to turn off install ed applications that you have
downloaded if they are cons uming too much power.
1. From the Hom e screen, tap the Menu key > Sett ings > Battery.
The Batter y Use screen lists the app lications consuming th e battery,
from greatest to least batte ry use.
The top of the scre en displays the time when the p hone was last
connected to a charger. If connec ted, the amount of time the phone
ran on battery power before co nnected is displayed.
Each appli cation or service that u sed battery power is displ ayed, in
order of the amount of power used.
2. Tap an application to learn det ails about its power consum ption.
Differe nt applications offer di fferent kinds of informati on. Some
applications include o ptions or settings to adjust powe r use.
Using Power saving mod e
The feature allows you to automatic ally set the phone to use a power
saving mode to conserve bat tery power.
1. From the Hom e screen, tap the Menu key > Sett ings > Power
saving mode.
2. Tap Power saving m ode to activate.
3. Tap Power saving s ettings to configu re additional power saving
options manually.
NOTE
You can also switch Power saving mode ON /OFF easily by using the
Power saving mode widget.
