Adding and ed iting email accounts
The first time you open Ema il, you are prompted to set up an email
account. After that, you can co nfigure Email to send and rec eive email
from additional accoun ts.
You can set up the same email accou nts used on a PC in a web
browser or with another emai l application. If your serv ice provider
requires additional se ttings or is not listed as an opti on in Email, enter
the necessary deta ils manually.
You may need to contact your email ser vice provider to determin e the
right settings for your accou nt.
You can also set up a Microsoft Exc hange ActiveSync accou nt
(Exchange 2003, 2007 an d 2010), to use the same email acco unts on
a PC using Microsoft Outl ook. Your IT administrator may set addi tional
security policies f or the account (contact you r IT administrator for more
information).

Adding an email accou nt

1. Open t he Accounts screen.
See “Open ing your Inbox” on page 114.
2. Tap the Menu key > Settings > ADD ACCOUNT.
3. Tap your email provider for set ting up. You can setup Microsoft
Exchange Accounts by tap ping Corporate.

Changing an account’s settings

You can change a number of setting s for an account, including h ow
often you check for email, how yo u are notified of new mail, and deta ils
about the servers the a ccount uses to send and rece ive mail.
1. Open the Ac counts screen.
2. Tap the Menu key > Settings.
3. Tap the account whose setti ngs you want to change.
4. When you are finish ed changing the setting s, tap the Back key .
