Installing the Cisco 7505

The following guidelines are provided to ensure your safety:

Mount this unit at the bottom of the rack if it is the only unit in the rack.

When mounting this unit in a partially filled rack, load the rack from the bottom to the top with the heaviest component at the bottom of the rack.

If the rack is provided with stabilizing devices, install the stabilizers before mounting or servicing the unit in the rack.

Figure 3-4illustrates the Cisco 7505 rack-mount procedure.

3. To prevent injury, have someone help you

 

 

install the chassis in the rack (shown in C).

Use the 10-32 x 3/8-inch screws provided to

 

attach the ears to the mounting strips. Use four

 

 

 

 

screws per ear and mounting strip. Level the

 

 

chassis as required. Provide 2 inches of
