J.10.5.1 CTM Configuration Center, Chassis View, Diagnostics Center, or Statistics Report Basics

CTM manages MGX NEs. The topology module discovers the nodes and trunks. Once the nodes are
discovered, the EM module syncs up with the nodes to discover the card, line, port, and so on. All the
discovered nodes, trunks, and node elements are published by NMServer and are displayed in the
Configuration Center, Chassis View, Diagnostics Center, or Statistics Report. The Configuration Center,
Chassis View, Diagnostics Center, or Statistics Report have the tree view and Inspector View. The tree
view and Inspector View feed off the data published by NMserver.
CTM is notified of all subsequent changes in the network through traps.
Figure J-1 shows the end-to-end architecture.
