Configuring Reauthe ntication with U nicast Key Rota tion

Whenenabled, unicast and multicast keys are updated after each reauthorization. It is abest practic e to configure
the time intervalsfor reauthentication, multicast key rotation, and unicast key rotation to be at least 15 minutes.
Makes urethese intervals are mutually prime, and the factor of the unicast key rotatio ni ntervaland the multicast
key rotation interval is less than the reauthentication interval.
NOTE:Unicast key rotation depends upon both the AP/controller and wireless client behavior. It is known thatsome w ireless NICs
haveissues with uni castkey rotation.
The followingi s an exampleof theparameters you can configure for reauthentication with unicast and multicast key
rotation:
lReauthentication: Enabled
lReauthentication Time Interval: 6011 Seconds
lMulticast Key Rotation: Enabled
lMulticast Key Rotation Time I nterval:186 7 Seconds
lUnicast Key Rotation: Enabled
lUnicast Key Rotation Ti me Interval:10 21 Seconds
In the WebUI
1. Navigate to the Configuration > Security > A uthentication > L2 Authentication page.
