Disabling Voic e-Aware 802.1x
NOTE:The Voi ce-Aware 802.1xsupport is deprecated for ArubaOS 5.0 and later releases.
Althoughreauthentication and rekey timers are configurableo na per-SSID basis, an 802.1x transaction during a call
can affect voice quality. If a client is on a call,802 .1xreauthenticatio nand rekey are disabled by defaultuntil the call
is completed. You disableor re-enable the “voice aware” feature in the 802.1x authentication profile.
In the WebUI
1. N avigate to the Configuration > AP Configuration page.Select either AP Group or AP Specific.
lIf you select AP Group, click Edit for the AP group name for which you want to disable voice awareness for
802.1x.
lIf you select AP Specific, select the name of the AP for which you want to disable voice awareness for 802.1x.
2. U nderProfiles, select Wireles s LAN,then select Virtual AP. In the Virtual AP list, select the appropriate virtual
AP instance.
3. Select AAA prof ile.Select the 802.1x Authenticati on Profile to display in the Profile Details section.
4. Scroll down and deselect the Disable r ekey and reauthentication for clients on call check box.
5. Click A pply.

Configuring S IP Authentication Tra cking
The controllersupports the st atefultracking of sessi on initiation protocol (SIP ) authentication between a SIP client
and a SIP registry server. Upon successfulregistration, a user role is assi gnedto the SIP client. You specify a
configureduser role for the SIP client in the AAA profile.
In the WebUI
