Parameter Description
band. This parameter is not configurable for graphs created by hybrid APs or spectrum m onitor
radiosthat use the 2.4 GHz radio band.
Channel Numbering Forspectrum moni torsusing the5 GHz radio band, selectei ther 20MHz or40 MHz channel
numbering to identifya channel numbering scheme for the graph.
NOTE:Thi s parameter is not configurable for graphs created by hybrid APs or spectrum moni tor
radiosthat use the 2.4 GHz radio band.
X-Axis Selectei ther Channel or Frequency. to show FFTpow er or dutycycles for a range of channels or
frequencies. If you select Frequency, you must select the radio frequency on which this chart
shouldcenter, and determi ne thespan of frequencies for the graph.
Channel Range Ifyou selected Channel in the X-Axis parameter, you must also specify a channel range to
determine which channels appear in the x-axis ofthis chart. Cl ick thefirst drop-down li stto
selectthe lowest channel in the range, then cli ckthe second drop-down li stto select the
highestchannel to appear in the chart.
NOTE:Thi s parameter is not configurable for graphs created by hybrid APs.
CenterFrequency Ifyou selected Frequency in the X-Axis parameter, enter the frequency, in MHz, thatyou want to
appeari n thecenter of the x-axis of this chart.
Span Ifyou selected Frequency in the X-Axis parameter, specify the size of the range offrequencies
aroundthe selected center frequency. If you seta frequency span of 100 MHz, for example, the
chartshows the swept spectrogram for a range of frequencies from 50MHzlow er to50 MHz
higher thanthe selected center.
Color-Map Range

Ifthis chart is configured to show averageor m aximum FFT values,

thedefault color range on
thischart represents values from -50dBm (red) to -90dBm (blue). If you would like the col or range
onthis chart to represent a different range of FFTpower l evels, enterthis range in the from and
toentry blanks.
Forexample, ifyou defined a col or-map range from -60to -80, then any FFT power level at or
above-60 dBm would appear as red, and any FFT power level at or below -80 would appear
blue. Only thechannel orfrequency quali tiesbetween -60 dBm and -80 dBm would be
representedby gradiented colors within the color range.

Ifthis chart is configured to show theFFT duty cycle

, thedefault color range on this chart
representsduty cycles from 0% (red)to 100% (blue). If youw ould like the color range on this
chartto represent a different range of FFTduty cycle percentages, enter this range in the from
andto entry blanks.
Forexample, ifyou defined a col or-map range from 25to 75, then any FFT duty cycle ator bel ow
25%would appear asred, and anyFFT duty cycle at or below 75%would appearbl ue. Only the
dutycycle levels between 25% and 75% would be represented bygradi entedcol orsw ithin the
color range.
NOTE:If your swept spectrogram is showing a single color only, you may need to increase the
color map range to display a greaterrange of values.
Show SelectFFTAvg,FFT Max or FFT Duty Cycle to select the typeof data you want to appear in this
chart.
