maximumCW. The CW is reset to the minimum value after successful transmission. In addition, you can configure
the TXOP duration for each AC.
Ont heco ntroller, you configure the AC priorities in the WLAN EDCA parameters profile. There are two sets of
EDCA profiles you can configure:
lAP parameters affect trafficfrom the AP to the client.
lSTA parametersaffect traffic from the client to the AP.
Using the WebUIto configure EDCA parameters
Use the following procedureto define an Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA) profile for AP s or for
clients (stations).
1. N avigate to the Configuration > AP Configuration page.Select ei thert he AP Group tab or AP Specific tab.
lIf you selected AP Group, click Edit for the AP group name for which you want to configureE DCA
parameters.
lIf you selected AP Specific, select the nameo ft heA P for which you want to configure EDCA parameters.
2. U nderProf iles, expandthe Wir eless LAN menu, then select Virtual AP. In t he Virtual AP list, select the
appropriate virtualA P.
3. E xpandthe SSID profile. Select the EDCA Parameters Station or EDCA Parameters AP profile.
4. Co nfigureyour desired ED CA Profile Parameters. Table 303 describes the parameters you can configure in this
profile.
Parameter Description
BestEffort Setthe followi ng parameters todefine the best effort queue.
laifsn:Arbitrary inter-frame space number. Possible values are 1-15.
lecw-max: The exponential (n)value of the maximum contentionwindow si ze, as expressedby
2n-1.A value of 4 com putesto 24-1 = 15. Possible values are 1-15.
lecw-min: The exponential (n) value of them inimum contention window size, as expressed by
2n-1.A value of 4 com putesto 24-1 = 15. Possible values are 0-15.
ltxop:Transmission opportunity, in units of 32 microseconds. Divide the desired transmission
durationby 32 to determine the value to configure. For example, for a transmission duration of
3008microseconds, enter 94 (3008/32).Possible values are 0-2047.
lacm: This parameter specifies mandatory admission control. W ith a value of 1, the client
reservesthe access category throughtraffic specification (TSPEC) signali ng. A value of0
disablesthis option.
Background Setthe followi ng parameters todefine the background queue.
