NOTE:The foll owing is a high-level description of the stepsrequi red toconfigure the DHCP server on the remote AP. The steps
assumeyou have already created the virtual AP profile, AAA profile, SSID profile, and other settings for your remote AP operation
(forinformation about the backup configuration, see "Configuring Fallback Mode" on page 524).
Using the WebUI
1. Navigate to the Configuration > Wireless > AP Conf iguration page.
2. Select eitherthe AP Group or AP Specific tab. Click Editfor the AP group or AP name.
3. UnderP rofiles,select A P to display the AP profiles.
4. Select the AP system profile you want to modify.
5. UnderP rofileD etails:
a. At the LMS IP field, enter the LMS IP address.
b. At the Master controller IP address field, enter the master controller IP address.
c. At the Remote-AP DHCP Server VLAN field, enter the VLAN ID of the backup configuration virtual AP
VLAN.
d. At the Remote-AP DHCP Server ID field, enter the IP address fort heD HCP server.
e. At the Remote-AP DHCP Default Router field, enter the IP address for the defaultD HCP router.
f. At t heRemote-AP D HCPD NSServ er list, enter an IP address in the field to right and click Add. You can
add multipleIP addresses the same way. To deletean IP address, select an IP addressfrom the list and click
Delete.
g. Specify the DHCP IP address pool. This configures the pool of IP addresses from which the remoteA P uses
to assign IP addresses.
—At the Remote-AP DHCP Pool Start field, enter the first IP address of the pool.
—At the Remote-AP-DHCP Pool End field, enterthe last IP address of the pool.
—At the Remote-AP-DHCP Pool Netmask field, entert he netmask.
h. At the Remote-AP DHCP LeaseT ime field,specify the amount of time the IP address is valid.
6. Click Apply.
7. UnderP rofiles,select Wir eless LAN,then Virtual AP, then the virtual AP profile you want to configure.
8. UnderP rofileDet ails,at the VLAN drop-list, select the VLAN ID of the remote AP D HCP VLAN, click the left
arrow to move the VLAN ID to the VLA N field,and click Apply.
