W-600 Series Controllers

The W-600 Series Controller is designed for compact, cost-effective "all-in-one" networkingso lutions. The 600
Series includesa firewall, wireless LAN controller, Ethernet switch with P oE+, IP router, site-to-site VPN edge
device, file server,and print server.
The W-600 Seriesi s anenterprise-class, wireless LAN controller that connects,co ntrols,and integrates wireless APs
and Air Monitors (AMs) into a wi red LAN system. Table 321 list some of the hardware features by the numbers.

Understanding W-6 00 Series Best Practices and Ex ceptions

lOnlyFAT1 6, FAT32, ext2 and ext3 partitions are supported.
lFor sharedfolders in an ext2/ext3 partition, the owner of the folder must be “nobody”. Otherwise clients willnot
be ablet o access the shared folder.
lUnsupportedpartiti ons may exist on the NAS device; only supported partitions are mounted.
lUser authentication for file access is not supported. The same permissions are applicableto all users.
lSharingdisks that contain errors may cause unpredictablebehavior. Scan the disk for errors beforemounting the
disks to a W-600 Series.
lUn-mountall partitio ns beforedi sconnecting the disk from the controller.
lDetection of devices connected to an externalUSB hubmay be unpredictable.
lA USB hard disk connected to the controller via an USB ExpressCard adapter is not supported.
