Whilethe recording is in progress, a round, red recording icon and recordingstat us information appearsat the top of
the spectrumdashboard. You can view data for other spectrum monitors and charts while the recording is in
progress.If yo u want to stop the recording before recording period has finished,click t heStop butto n by the
recordingstat us information. Whenyou click t heStop butt on,a popup window appears and allowsy ou to stop and
deletet hecurrent recording, stop and save the recording in its currentst ate (beforei t has completed),or continue
recordingagain.
Saving the Rec ording
After the recordinghas ended, either because the recording period has elapsed, the recordingmaximum file size has
beenreached, the Spectrum Monitor Recording Complete window appears and displays information for the current
recording.

To save the recording file:
1. From the Spectrum Monitor Recording Complete window, click Continue.
2. A Save As wi ndow appearsand prompts you to s electa file namefor the recording and a location to save the file.
3. Click Save.
Playing a S pectrum An alysisR ecording
Thereare two w ays to play back a spectrumrecording. You can use the playback featurei nt hespect rumdashboard,
or view recordings using the Dell PowerConnect W-RFPlayback tool downloaded from the Dell website.

Playing a Recording in the Spectrum D ashboard

The spectrummonitor does not have to be subscribed to your spectrumanalysis client in order to play back a
recordingin t he spectrumdashboard. Note, however, that you cannot play back an existi ngrecording in the spectrum
dashboardwhile another recording session is currentlyin progress.
