Parameter Description
DetectFrame Rate Anomalies Enable or disables detectionof frame rate anomali es. This featureis disabled by
default.
BandwidthRate High Waterm ark Ifbandwidth in an AP exceeds this value, a bandwidth exceeded condition exists.
Thevalue represents the percentage of maximum for a given radio. (For 802.11b, the
maximum bandwidth is 7 Mbps. For 802.11a and g, the maximum is30 Mbps.) The
recommended value is 85%.
BandwidthRate Low W atermark After a bandwidth exceeded condition exists, the condition persistsuntil bandw idth
dropsbelow thisvalue. The recom mended value is 70%.
FrameError R ateHigh
Watermark
Ifthe frame error rate (as a percentage of totalframes in an AP) exceeds this value,
aframe error rate exceeded condition exists. The recommended value is 16%.
FrameError R ateLow
Watermark
Aftera frame error rate exceeded condition exists, the condition persistsuntil the
frameerror rate drops below this value. The recom mended value is 8%.
FrameFragmentation Rate High
Watermark
Ifthe frame fragmentation rate (as a percentage oftotal frames in an AP) exceeds
thisvalue, a frame fragmentation rate exceeded condition exists. The recommended
valuei s 16%.
FrameFragmentation Rate Low
Watermark
Aftera frame fragmentation rate exceeded condition exists, the condition persists
until theframe fragmentation rate drops below this value. The recomm ended value
is8%
FrameLow S peed Rate High
Watermark
Ifthe rate of low-speed frames (as a percentage oftotal frames in an AP) exceeds
thisvalue, a l ow-speed rateexceeded condition exists. This could indi catea
coveragehole. Therecommended value i s16%.
FrameLow S peed Rate Low
Watermark
Aftera low-speed rate exceeded condition exists, the condition persists until the
percentageof low- speed frames drops below this value. The recomm ended value is
8%.
FrameNon UnicastRate High
Watermark
Ifthe non-unicast rate (as a percentage oftotal frames in an AP) exceeds this value,
anon-uni castrate exceeded condition exists. This value depends upon the
applications usedon the network.
FrameNon UnicastRate Low
Watermark
Aftera non-unicast rate exceeded condition exists, the condition persistsuntil the
non-unicastrate drops below thisvalue.
FrameR eceive Error Rate High
Watermark
Ifthe frame receive error rate (as a percentage of totalframes in an AP) exceeds
thisvalue, a frame recei veerror rate exceeded condition exists. The recommended
valuei s 16%
FrameR eceive Error Rate Low
Watermark
Aftera frame receive error rate exceeded condition exists, the condition persists
