Configuring the Exa mple NAT-mod e ESI Topo logy
This section describes how to implement the exampleNA T-modeE SI topology shown in using both the WebUI,
then the CLI.
The configuration process consists of these general tasks:
lConfiguringcaptive portal(see the “Configuring Captive Portal” c hapter).
lConfiguringthe health-check ping method.
lConfiguringthe ESI servers.
lConfiguringthe ESI group.
lDefining the redirectfi lterfor sending traffic to the ESI server.
Configuring th e NAT-mode ESI Exa mple in the WebUI
Navigate to the Configuration > Advanced Services > Extern al Services view on the WebUI (see ).
In the WebUI
1. Click Add in the Health-Check Configuration section Exter nal Services view on the WebUI.
2. Provide the following details:
a. Profile Name. This exampleuses ext ernalcp_ping.
b. Frequency seconds.T his exampleuses 30.
c. Retry Count. This example uses 3.
NOTE:If you do not specify a value for a parameter, the WebUI assumesthe default value. In this example, the desired timeout value
istwo seconds; therefore, not specifying the timeout causes the WebUIto use the default value of two seconds.
3. Click Done when you are finished.
NOTE:To appl ythe configuration (changes), you must click Apply in the External Services view on the WebUI. In this example, you
canw ait until you finish configuring the serversand groups, or you can apply after each configuration portion.

Configuring the ESI Group in t he WebUI

1. Click Add in the Server Groups section Ext ernal Services view on the WebUI.
2. Provide the following details:
a. Group Name. This exampleuses ext ernal_cps.
b. Health-CheckProfile. Select the health-check ping fromthe drop-down list. This example uses externalcp_
ping.
3. Click Done when you are finished.
