For each category or subcategory, you can configure a logging level.Table 258 describes t he logginglevels in order of
severity, from most to least severe.
LoggingLev el Description
Emergency Panic conditions that occur when the system becomes unusable.
Alert Any condition requiring i mmediate attention and correction.
Critical Anycritical conditionssuch as a hard drive error.
Errors Error conditions.
Warning Warning messages.
Notice Significant events of a non-critical and normal nature.
Informational Messagesof general interest to system users.
Debug Messages containing information useful for debugging.

LoggingLevels

The defaultlogging level for all categories is Warning. You can also configure IP address of a sy slog serverto which
the controllercan direct these logs.
In the WebUI
1. N avigate to the Configu ration > Man agement > L ogging > S ervers page.
2. T o add a loggings erver,click New in the Logging Servers section.
3. Click A ddt o add the loggingserver to the list of logging servers. Ensure that the syslog serveris enabledand
configuredon this host. Click Apply.
4. T o select the types of messages you want to log, select the Levels tab.
5. Select t he category or subcategory to be logged.
6. T o select the severity levelfor the category or subcategory, scroll to the bottom of the page. Select the level from
the Logging Level drop-downmenu. Click Done.
7. Click A pplyto apply the configuration.
