Working with a Traffic St ream Measurement Report

The TrafficStream Measurement(TSM)report requests are sent only to dot11k compliant clientst hatadvertise a

traffic stream reportcapability. The TSM report request frames are sent every6 0 seconds. Thec ontent of the report

requestscan be defined in the TSMReportRequest profile using the WebUI or CLI. To select the information to

be sent in TSM report reqeusts using the WebUI:

1. Navigate to Configuration > Advanced Services > All Prof ile Management.

2. Expand the Wireless LAN menu andselect T SMReport Request.

3. Select the TSMReport Request profiley ou want to configure.

4. Define the settings described in the table below,then click Apply Changes to save your settings.

Thisvalue i sused to determine the request mode for the Transmit

Stream/CategoryMeasurement Request frame. ATransmit S tream/Cat-

egoryMeasurement Request frame can be sent in either "normal" mode or

"triggered"m ode. There are two options forthis field - "norm al" and "trig-

gered". When the "triggered" option is selected, the

TransmitS tream/CategoryMeasurement R equestframe issent only w hen

thetrigger condition occurs. The default value for this field is "normal".

Number of repetitions Thisvalue i sused to set the "Number of Repetitions" field in the Transmit

Stream/CategoryMeasurement Request frame. TheNumber ofRepetitions

field containsthe requested number of repetitions for all the Measurement

Requestelem entsi n this frame. A value of zero in this fiel d indicates Meas-

urementRequest el ements are executed once without repetition. A value

of65535 in the Number of Repetitions field indicates Measurement

Requestelem entsare repeated until the measurement is cancelled or

superseded.This field has values in the range (0, 65535). The defaultvalue

is65535.

DurationMandatory Thisvalue i sused to set the "Duration Mandatory" bit ofthe Measurement

RequestMode field of the Transmit Stream/Category Measurement

Requestframe. Thedefault value i s "enabled".

Randomization Interval Thisvalue i sused to set the Randomization Interval field in the Transmit

Stream/CategoryMeasurement Request frame. The Randomi zation Inter-

vali sused to specify the desired maximum random delay in the meas-

urementstart time. Itis expressed in units of TUs (Time Units). When the

requestmode for the Transmi t Stream/Category Measurement Request
