Profile
Thespectrum moni toring profile defines thespectrum band and device ageout times used by a
spectrummoni torradi o.
Thespectrum moni toring profile associatedw ith this802.11a or 802.11g radio profile appears
beneaththe 802.11a/802.11gradio profile nam e in the profiles list. To change the spectrum
monitoring profile associated with an 802.11aor 802.11g radio profile, select the associated
spectrummoni toring profile in the profiles list then click the drop-down list in the Profile Details
sectionof the page to select a new profile.
AMScanni ng Profile TheAM scanning profile associated with this 802.11a or 802.11gradio profil e appearsbeneath the
802.11a/802.11gradio profile name in the profiles list. To change the AM scanning profile
associatedwith an 802.11a or 802.11gradi o profile, select the associatedAM scanning profile in
theprofiles li stthen click the drop-down li stin the Profil e Details section of thepage to select a
new profile.
Assigning an 802.11a/802.11g Profile
Use the following procedureto assign an 802.11a or 802 .11g RF management profilet o an AP group or individual
AP using the WebUI.
1. Navigate t o the Configuration > Wireless > AP Configuration window. Select either the AP Group or AP
Specific tab.
lIf you selected AP Group, click the Edit button by the AP group name to which yo u want to assign a new
802.11a or 802.11 g RF managementprofile.
lIf you selected AP Specific, click the Edit button by the AP to which y ou want to assign a new 802.11a or
802.11g RF management profile
2. Under the Profiles list, expand the RF management menu, then select either 802.11a radio profile o r e802.11g
radio profile.
3. To select a 802.11a radio profile for anA P orA P group,click the 802.11a radio profile drop-down list in the
Profile Details window pane and select the desired profilefrom the list.

To select a8 02.11g radio profilefor an AP or AP group,click the 802.11g radio prof ile drop-downlist in the
Profile Details window pane and select the desired profilefrom the list.
4. Click Apply. The profile name appears in the Profile list wit h your configuredsett ings.I f you configure this for
the AP group, this profilealso becomes t heselected 80 2.11a or 802.11g RF management profile usedby the
mesh portalfor yo urmesh network.
Assigning a High-throughput Profil e
Each 802.11a or 802.11g RF management radio profile referencesa high-throughput profile that manages the AP
group’s40 Mhzt olerancesettings. By default, an 802.11a profile references a high-throughputprofile named default-a
and an8 02.11g profile referencesa high-throughput profilenamed default-g. If you do not want to use these default
profiles,use the procedure below to reference a differenthigh-throughput profile foryo ur80 2.11a or 802.11g RF
managementprofiles.
1. Navigate to the Configuration > Wireless > AP Configuration wi ndow. Selectei ther the AP Group or AP
Specific tab.
lIf you selected AP Group, click the Edit button by the AP group name to which yo u want to assign a new
high-throughputprofile.
lIf you selected AP Specific, click the Edit button by the AP which you want t o assign a new high-throughput
profile.
