7.4.2.7 spanning-tree max-age
This command sets the Bridge Max Age parameter to a new value for the common and internal spannin g
tree. The max-age value is in seconds within a rang e of 6 to 40, with the value being less than or equal to
"2 times (Bridge Forward Delay - 1)" and greater than or equal to “2 times (Bridge Hello Time + 1)”.
Syntax
spanning-tree max-age <6-40>
no spanning-tree max-age
<6-40> - the Bridge Max Age value (Range: 6 – 40).
no - This command sets the Bridge Max Age para meter for the common and internal spanning tree to
the default value, that is, 20.

7.4.2.8 spanning-tree max-hops
This command sets the MSTP Max Hops parameter to a new value for the common and internal spanning
tree. The max-hops value is in a range of 1 to 127.
Syntax
spanning-tree max-hops <1-127>

<1-127> - the Maximum hops value (Range: 1-127).
no - This command sets t he Bridge M a x Hop s parameter fo r the comm on and internal spanning tree
to the default value.
