10.3.1.10 show ipv6 traffic

This command displays traffic and statistics for IPv6 and ICMPv6. Specify a logical, loopback, or tunnel
interface to view information about traffic on a specific interface. If you do not specify an interface, the
command displays information about traffic on all interfaces.
Syntax
show ipv6 traffic [{<slot/port> | loopback <loopback-id> | tunnel <tunnel-i d>}]
Default Setting
None
Command Mode
Privileged Exec
Display Message
Total Datagrams Received: Total number of input datagrams received by the interface, including
those received in error.
Received Datagram s Locally Delivered: Total number of d atagrams successf ully delivered to IPv6
user-protocols (including ICMP). This counter in crements at the interface to which these datagrams
were addressed, which might not necessarily be the input interface for so me of the datagrams.
Received Datagram s Discarded Due To Header Errors: Number of input datagram s discarded
due to errors in their IPv6 headers, including version number mismatch, other format errors, hop
count exceeded, errors discovered in processing thei r IPv6 options, etc.
Received Datagram s Discarded Due To MTU: Number of input datagrams that could n ot be
forwarded because their size exceeded the link MTU of outgoing interface.
Received Datagram s Discarded Due To No Rou te: Number of input datagrams discarded because
no route could be found to transmit them to their destination.
Received Datagram s With Unknown Protocol: Number of locall y-addressed datagrams re ceived
successfully but discarded because of an unknown or unsupp orted protocol. This counter incre ments
at the interface to which these datagrams were addre ssed, which might not be necessarily the input
interface for some of the datagrams.
Received Datagram s Discarded Due To Invalid Address: Number of input datagrams discarded
because the IPv6 address in their IPv6 header' s destination field was not a valid address to be
received at this entity. This count includes invalid addresses (for example, ::0) and unsupported
addresses (for example, ad dresses with unallocated p refixes). Forentities which are not IPv6 routers
and therefore do not forward datagrams, this counter includes datagrams discarded because the
destination address wa s not a local address.
Received Datagram s Discarded Due To Truncated Data: Number of input datagrams discarded
because datagram frame didn't carry en ough data.
Received Datagram s Discarded Other: Number of input IPv6 datagra ms for which no problems
were encountered to prevent their continue processing, but which were discarded (e.g., for lack of
buffer space). Note that this counter does not include datagrams discarded while awaiting
re-assembly.
Received Datagram s Reassembly Required: Number of IPv6 fragment s received which needed to
be reassembled at this inte rface. Note that this counter increments at the interface to which these
fragments were addressed, which might not be necessarily the input interface for some of the
fragments.
