This command is used to specify the file or image used to start up the system.
Syntax
boot-system {boot-rom | config | opcode} <filename>
<filename> - name of the configuration or image file.
boot-rom - bootrom.
config - configuration file.
opcode - run time operation code.

7.17.7 ping
7.17.7.1 ping <ipaddress|host>
This command chec ks if another computer is on the network and listens for connections. To u se this
command, configure the switch for network (in-band) connection. The source and target devices mu st
have the ping utility enabled and running on top of TCP/IP. The swi t ch can be pinged from any IP
workstation with which the switch is connecte d through the default VLAN (VLAN 1), as long as there is a
physical path between the switch and the workstation. The terminal interface sends, three pings to the
target station.
