This command sets the bridge priority for a specifi c multiple spanning tree instance. The instance <mstid>
is a number that corresponds to the desi red existing multiple spanning tree inst ance. The priority value is
a number within a range of 0 to 61440 in increments o f 4096.
If 0 (defined as the default CIST ID) is passed as the <mstid>, then this command sets the Bridge Priority
parameter to a new value for the common and intern al spanning tree. The bridge priority value again is a
number within a range of 0 to 61440. The twelve least significant bits will be masked according to the
802.1s specification.
This will cause the priority to be rounded down to the next lower valid priority.
Syntax
spanning-tree mst priority <0-4094> <0-61440>
no spanning-tree m st priority <0-4094>
<0-4094> - multiple spanning tree instance ID.
<0-61440> - prio rity value (Range: 0 – 61440).
no - This command sets th e bridge priority for a specific multiple spa nning tree instance to the default
value, that is, 32768. The instance <0-4094 > is a number that corresponds to the desired existing
multiple spanning tree inst ance.
If 0 (defined as the default CIST ID) is passed as the <0-4094>, then this command sets the Bridge
Priority parameter for the common and internal spanning tree to the default value, that is, 32768.
Default Setting
32768

This command adds an association between a multiple spanning tree instance and a VLAN. The VLAN
will no longer be associated with the common and internal spanning tree. The instance <0-4094> is a
number that corresponds to the desired existing multipl e spanning tree instance. The <1-3965>
corresponds to an existing VLAN ID.
Syntax
spanning-tree mst vlan <0-4094> <1-3965>
no spanning-tree mst vlan <0-4094> <1-3965>
<0-4094> - multiple spanning tree instance ID.
<1-3965> - VLAN ID (Range: 1 – 3965).
no - This command removes an associ ation between a multiple spanning tree i nstance a nd a VLAN.
The VLAN will again be associated with the common and internal spanning tree. The instance
<0-4094> is a number that corre sp onds to the desired existing multiple spanning tree instance. The
<1-3965> corresponds to a n existing VLAN ID.
