8.3.2.13 area range
area range command creates a specified area range for a specified NSSA. The <ipaddr> is a valid IP
address. The <subnetmask> is a valid su bnet mask. The LSDB type must be specified by either
summarylink or nssaexternallink, and the advertising of the area range can be allowed or suppressed .
no area range command d eletes a specified area ran ge. The <ipaddr> is a valid IP address. The
<subnetmask> is a valid subnet mask.

8.3.2.14 area stub
area stub command creat es a stub area for the specified area ID. A stub area is cha racterized by the fact
that AS External LSAs are not propagated into the area. Removing AS External LSAs and Summary
LSAs can significantly reduce the link state database of routers within the stub area. no area stub
command deletes a stub area for the spe cified area ID.
