Enabling Direct The Direct Access mechanism always uses the default robotics control

Accesshost first for media movements, but if this fails, Data Protector uses direct access, if enabled.

To enable direct access, select the Use direct library access option (see Figure 2-9 on page 56) and configure the libtab file on every host on which you want to use direct access.
