Multicast Control Frame Count This displays the number of multicast control frames that are pro- cessed by the CPU.

show mac-address-table igmpsnooping

This command displays the IGMP Snooping entries in the Multicast Forwarding Database (MFDB) table.

Mac Address

A multicast MAC address for which the switch has forwarding and or filtering

 

information. The format is two-digit hexadecimal numbers that are separated by

 

colons, for example 01:23:45:67:89:AB. In an IVL system the MAC address

 

will be displayed as a MAC address and VLAN ID combination of 8 bytes.

Type

This displays the type of the entry. Static entries are those that are configured by

 

the end user. Dynamic entries are added to the table as a result of a learning pro-

 

cess or protocol.

Interfaces

The list of interfaces that are designated for forwarding (Fwd:) and filtering

 

(Flt:).

IGMP Snooping per VLAN

This section provides a detailed explanation of the IGMP Snooping per VLAN commands. The commands are divided into two functional groups:

Show commands display spanning tree settings, statistics, and other information.

Configuration Commands configure features and options of the switch. For every configuration

This command enables IGMP snooping on a particular VLAN, and in turn enabling IGMP snooping on all interfaces participating in this VLAN.
