Clean (Transfer Roller Cleaning)

Use the MISC:CLEAN menu to have the printer perform an approximately 25 second cleaning of the transfer roller. Make sure READY/IDLE displays before selecting START from the Clean menu. CLEANING displays during the cleaning cycle; at the end of

the cycle, a blank page prints. WhenREADY/IDLE appears again, the cleaning process is complete and the printer is ready to accept a

new job.

Duplexer

If the duplexer (3DN; 3N and 3G optional) is installed, you can select from three duplexing options using either the printer’s front panel Duplex key or your application’s Print dialog box.

•	Simplex	standard printing on one side of the page.
•	Edge-duplex	double-sided printing in edge to edge or
		book style (fig. 6.11).
•	Tumble-duplex	double-sided printing in a flip chart style
		(fig. 6.11).

The Duplex key allows you to scroll through options in the front panel window. The Duplex LED is lit when either Edge-duplex or Tumble-duplex is selected.
