Fuser Temperature Control

The PAPER:FUSER menu allows you to control your printer’s fuser temperature for different media types.

Select Cool, the factory default, when printing to Myriad film, paper, envelopes, labels, and transparencies. Select Warm for heavy paper

and heavy film.

Negative Enhanced Imaging Technology (NEIT)

Traditionally laser printers were designed to print positive images. XANTÉ’s innovative, patented Negative Enhanced Imaging Technology (NEIT) is the first technology to address the problems typically associated with producing negative images on a laser printer. NEIT is an option only on the Accel-a-Writer 3G printer.

Previously, when a negative print was done on a laser printer, gray scales were distorted and small spaces in text and lines were obscured by toner bleed. NEIT addresses these problems, allowing you to adjust toner application when producing a negative image to obtain crisp, clean lines and text. The image on the right in figure 6.12 illustrates how NEIT can improve a negative print.

Set NEIT from the PAPER:NEIT configuration menu. As menu settings increase from 0 to 20, the amount of plugging decreases. The factory default is 10.

This menu appears only the NEIT upgrade is installed and is active only if Negative Print is set to True in the Print dialog box.

Note: NEIT adjusts your printer engine speed to 10 ppm (letter/A4).
