MAC Filter

This chapter introduces the MAC filter.

21.1 MAC Filter Introduction

Use the MAC filter to control from which MAC (Media Access Control) addresses frames can (or cannot) come in through a port.

Use this drop-down list box to select a DSL port for which you wish to configure

 

MAC filtering.

 

 

MAC

Type a device’s MAC address in hexadecimal notation (xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx, where

 

x is a number from 0 to 9 or a letter from a to f) in this field. The MAC address

 

must be a valid MAC address.
