55.10 Configured Settings

The configured settings do not take effect.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Use the “config save” command after you finish configuring to save the IES-612-51A’s settings.

55.11 Password

If you forget your password, you will need to use the console port to reload the factory-default configuration file (see Section 55.15 on page 413).

55.12 System Lockout

Any of the following could also lock you and others out from using in-band management (managing through the data ports).

1Deleting the management VLAN (default is VLAN 1).

2Incorrectly configuring the CPU VLAN.

3Incorrectly configuring the access control settings.

4Disabling all ports.

"Be careful not to lock yourself and others out of the system.

If you lock yourself (and others) out of the system, you can try using the console port to reconfigure the system. See Section 55.15 on page 413.

55.13 SNMP

The SNMP manager server cannot get information from the IES-612-51A.

1Ping the IES-612-51A from the SNMP server. If you cannot, check the cable, connections and IP configuration.

2Check to see that the community (or trusted host) in the IES-612-51A matches the SNMP server’s community.

3Make sure that your computer’s IP address matches a configured trusted host IP address (if configured).

4Incorrectly configuring the access control settings may lock you out from using in-band management. Try using the console port to reconfigure the system.
