Powering Up the System

CAUTION:

Only when the system is completely installed, follow the procedure in this section to power up the system. Failure to comply with this procedure can result in shock hazard or damage to the equipment.

1.For each power supply and auxiliary power unit, if not already connected, connect the AC power cord to the connector marked AC INPUT on the power supply.

Plug the other end of the AC line cord into the AC outlet.

2.Starting from the rightmost power supply in the system, turn on the power switch for each expansion carrier.

The green power lights on each expansion carrier power supply should turn on.

3.Turn on the power switch on the basic carrier power supply.

The green light on the power supply should turn on.

The red light on the processor should turn on for 15 to 45 seconds and then turn off.

All indicators on the 100D and 400EM modules (if present) should turn on and then off. They remain off when the modules are idle.

4.If any of these conditions are not met, see the Maintenance and Troubleshooting guide for corrective action.
