Fax Machines

Connect the fax machine to one of the following, as described earlier in this section:

■012 module

■MLX telephone with an MFM

The fax machine sends and receives fax calls independently of the associated telephone. Calls are dialed with the fax machine’s dialpad or from an associated single-line telephone.

Using a GPA with a multiline telephone is not recommended; the fax machine cannot auto-dial through the GPA.

Group Calling Delay Announcements

Connect the group calling delay announcement device to one of the following, as described earlier in this section:

■012 module

■MLX telephone with an MFM

■GPA and analog multiline telephone

An industry-standard announcement device, such as a DA-5 Digital Voice Announcer, provides Night Service information or announces to a caller that calling groups are busy.
