Chapter 2 Avaya P460 CLI Commands

The syntax for this command is:

line <number> [string]

number

Line number in the banner (1...24)

string

String to be displayed at the given line number (up to 80

 

characters)

Example:

 

P460-1(super)#line 5 “P460 CLI”

Done!

network

User level: read-write, admin.

You can only access this command in router-RIP mode.

Type router rip at the command prompt to enter router-RIP mode if necessary.

Use the network command to specify a list of networks on which the RIP is running.

Use the no network command to remove an entry.

The syntax for this command is:

[no] network <ip-address> [<wildcard-mask>]

ip addr

The IP address of the network of directly connected networks

wildcard-mask

Wildcard mask address. Exists for compatibility with P550.

Example:

To specify that RIP will be used on all interfaces connected to the network 192.168.37.0:

Router-1 (configure router:rip) # network 192.168.37.0

Done!
