| Use this command to copy the running configuration to the startup configuration: |

Note | This step is required beginning with Cisco IOS XE Release 3.9S if upgrading to a later version. Entering | ||

| the write or write memory command updates the GRUB menu list of images available on the bootflash |
|
|
| disk. |

Step 15 | reload | ||
|
|
| Use this command to reload the operating system: |
|
|
| Router# reload |
Step 16 | When prompted to save the system configuration, enter no: | ||
|
|
| System configuration has been modified. Save? [yes/no]: no |
Step 17 | When prompted to confirm the reload, enter y: | ||
|
|
| Proceed with reload? [confirm] y |
Step 18 | show version | ||
|
|
| Use this command to verify that the router loaded the proper system image: |

|
