How to Configure Call Home
Configuring Syslog Throttling
To enable or disable Call Home syslog message throttling and avoid sending repetitive Call Home syslog
messages, perform the following steps:

1. configure terminal
2. call-home
3. [no] syslog-throttling
DETAILED STEPS
Command or Action Purpose
Step1 configure terminal
Example:
Router# configure terminal
Enters configuration mode.
Step2 call-home
Example:
Router(config)# call-home
Enters Call Home configuration submode.
Step3 [no] syslog-throttling
Example:
Router(cfg-call-home)# syslog-throttling
Enables or disables Call Home syslog message
throttling and avoids sending repetitive Call
Home syslog messages. Repeating syslog
messages will only display after 24 hours. By
default, syslog message throttling is enabled.
Note Debug level syslogs like debug trace are
not throttled.
