Chapter 9. BIOS Setup Procedures Aurora Motherboard

If a motherboar d is rep laced in the field, it may be nec ess ary to change t he dat e
and time and setup the BIOS for t he custo mers conf iguratio n. The fo llo wing
information shows the default scr eens from the factory.
9.1 Opening CMOS Setup Screen
Turn ON power and pr ess t he “F2” key while t he terminal go es thro ugh the po wer
o n self t e st. (POST).
9.1.1 CMOS Settings
If this is a new motherboard it w ill be neces sary to set the date and t ime befo re
r eleasing the ter minal to the customer. To change the dat e and t ime, select
STANDARD CMOS FEATURES, then input the curr ent dat e and time. Run
“LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS” then “SAVE & EXIT SETUP.” Changing
ot her default set tings may be done at this time if the custo mer has settings other
t han the default set tings l isted here. Changing settings that are not the default
or n ot set for sp ecific custome r needs may ad versely effect th e op eration of
the unit.
In most cases, t he CMOS de fault settings are adequate and do not require
changing. Fo llow the inst ructions o n t he screen to select STANDARD CMOS
SETUP.
