Relay Initiating Station

Your machine can act as the relay initiating station, which starts the relay broadcast by sending the original documents.

Before you program your machine to initiate a relay broadcast, you must have the information listed below.

·Relay Password

·Relay Group Numbers

·Relay Key Station (Hub) number

·Relay Report Number (Contact number for Relay Broadcast Report)

Get the relay password, the relay group numbers, and the relay key station (hub) number from the relay key station (hub) operator.

The Relay Report Number (contact number for the relay broadcast report) is the number of the relay initiating station, programmed to a special location and in the format used by the relay key station (hub).

This means that you must program your fax machine’s telephone number into Auto Dial 150.

Your machine is the relay initiating station.

Your machine’s telephone number is the Relay Report Number (contact number for the Relay Broadcast Report).

Auto Dial 150 (on your machine) is the special location.

!Be sure to program the Relay Report Number (contact number for the Relay Broadcast Report) in the format

the relay key station (hub) uses for dialing.

For example, be sure to include the access digit, if required.
