Programming Required Information
FCC Telephone Consumer Protection Act
The Federal Communications Commission Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 makes it unlawful for any person to use a computer or other electronic device to send any message via a telephone fax machine unless such message clearly contains in a margin at the top or bottom of each transmitted page or on the first page of the transmission, the date and time it is sent and an identification of the business or other entity, or other individual sending the message, and the telephone number of the sending machine or such business, other entity, or individual.
To comply with this law, you must enter the following information in your fax unit.
•Date and Time
•Fax Identification (Name and Telephone Number) which identifies the source of your fax transmission

Date and Time
Fax machines must accurately identify the date, time, sender and the telephone number of the sending fax machine on each page of every fax they send. You are required by law to program this information into your fax machine.
1Press the Select Function key.
2Press the 9/User Program
3On the numeric keypad, press 3. The display shows
3:CLOCK ADJUSTMENT.
4Press the Yes ◀ key. The display shows the currently set date and time.
5Using the numeric keypad, enter the new date (month/day/ year) and time in
6Press the Yes ◀ key to confirm your entry.
7Press the Select Function key to finish.
