3Press Select.
The following promptappears on the display:
EnterPIN:
=____
Youare required to enter the four-digit PIN associ-
ated with your Confidential Job next to the equal
sign (=). Each digit must be a number from 1 to 6.
At this point, the buttons on the operator panel
cease to function as before,such as scrolling
throughthe menus. You press the numbers on the
operator panel like pressing numbers on a calcula-
tor.To simplify the operator panel, the illustration
shows just the numbers and not the names of the
operator panel buttons.
Asyou press each button to enter each digit of your
PIN, an asterisk (*) appears on the display.
If you make a mistake entering your PIN, for
instance, if you enter a number incorrectly,con-
tinue to pressany of the buttons until the mes-
sage NoJobs Found. Retry? displays. Press Goto
refreshthe operator panel and the Enter PIN:
promptdisplays again.
Ifyou enter a PIN that does not match any Confi-
dential Job in printer memory,the message
NoJobs Found.Retry? displays. PressGo to
refreshthe operator panel and display the
EnterP IN: prompt again or pressStop to cancel
the entry of a PIN.
Note: If you enter the Enter
PIN prompt in error or need to
exitfrom this prompt, you must
wait until the NoJobs Found.
Retry? message displays and
then press Stop.
Once you successfully enter the PIN, the printer
checks the PIN with each stored PIN associated
witheach Confidential Job in printer memory. If the
number matches, you aregiven access to the next
level of the CONFIDENTIAL JOB menu item where
you can select to print or delete jobs matching the
PIN.
