Printing Problems
Print material misfeedsor multiple
feedsoccur. Makesure the print mater ial youare using meets the specificationsfor your
printer.See Print Material G uidelinesonpage 118 for more information.
Flexprint mater ial beforeloading it in any of the paper sources.
Makesure the print mater ial is loaded correctly.
Makesure the paper width and length guides on the paper sources are
adjustedcorrectly andare n ot too tight.
Do not overfillthe paper sources.
Do not forceprint material into the multipur pose feederwhen you load it;
otherwise,it may skew or buckle.
Removeany curled print material from paper sources.
If there isa recommended pr int side forthe print material, load the pr int
material as described in Print Material Guidelineson page 118.
Load lesspr int material in the input sources.
Turnthe print material over or around and try printing again to see if feeding
improves.
Do not mix print material types.
Do not mix reamso fpr int material.
Removethe top and bottom sheets of a ream before loading the print
material.
Load an input source only when it is empty.
Youget unexpected page breaks. Checkthe Print Timeout settingintheSETUPMENU. Increase the setting. See
PrintTimeout onpage 74 for more information.
Job prints from the wrong input
sourceor on the wrongpr int
material.
Checkthe PAPER TYPE setting in the PAPER MENU on the operator panel and
in the printer driver.See PAPER TYPE on page 47 for more information.
Print material does not stack
neatly in an output bin. Turnthe print material stack over in the tray or multipurpose feeder.
Ifthe print mater ialis exiting to the standard output bin, make sure the paper
bailis installedcorrectly. See Installing the Paper Bailon page 11 for more
information.
