Removing
Memory Options Beforeremoving a memory option, follow the steps under
“Accessing the Printer System Board”onpage 201.

static electricity.Touch some-
thing metal beforeyou touch an
option card.
Toremove a printer memory option or a flash memory
option card:
1Locate the option card that you want to remove.
2Push the latches at each end of the memory con-
nector away from the option card.
3Pull the option card straight out of the memory
connector.
4Place the option card in its original packaging.
If you did not save the packaging, wrap the option
cardin paper and store it in a box.
5Follow the steps under “Installing Memory
Options”on page 207 if you need to install a new
printer memory option or flash memory option
