Using the
Operator Panel The operator panel, on the frontleft-side of your printer,
has a 2-line by 16-character liquid crystal display (LCD),
one printer indicator light, and six buttons. Notice the
Menu button is split into two functioning halves; there-
fore,it works like two buttons.
The numbers on the operator panel by the names of the
buttons areonly used for entering your Personal Identifi-
cation Number (PIN) if you send a print job that is confi-
dential. For moreinformation, see CONFIDENTIAL JOB on
page 60 and “Entering a Personal Identification Number
(PIN)”on page 111.

Printer Indicator

Light

The printer indicator light gives information about the
status of your printer.
Menu Select Return
Go Stop
PrinterIndicator Light
LCD
LightState Meaning
OnSolid The printer is On (|) and in the Ready state.
Blinking The printer is On (|) and Busy.
Off The printer is Off (O).
