Use the Linesper Page menu item to change the number of lines that print on each page.
TheLines per Page setting can range from 1 to 255 lines per page. The printer sets the
amount ofspace between each line (ver ticalline spacing) based on the Lines perPage,
PAPERSIZE,andOrientationsettings. Select the correct PA PER SI ZE from the PAPER MENU
andOrientation before setting Lines per Page.SeePAPERSIZE on page 45 and Orientation
on page 80 formore information.

The A4Width menu item lets you select the width of the logical page for A4 paper.
Whenyou select 198 mm, the width of the logical page is compatible with that of the
Hewlett-PackardLaserJet 5 printer. When you select 203 mm, the width of the logical page is
wide enoughto pr int eighty 10-pitch characters.
