Accessing the Printer System Board

Option Cards

installation of some options.

Youcan customize your printer memory capacity and con-

nectivity.This chapter provides instructions for installing

and removingeach option. To install each option, you

must first access the printer system board.This can be

donefromtheleftsideoftheprinter.

Accessing the

Printer System

Board

Complete the following steps beforeinstalling printer

memory,a flash memory option, or an option card.

1Turnthe printer power Off (O) and unplug the

printer power cord from the electrical outlet.

Caution! Toavoid electrical

shock hazards,make sure your

computer power isO ff (O)and

unplug all computer equipment

beforeconnecting cables.

2Disconnect all cables from the back of the printer.
