Understanding Option Cards
Youcan purchase:
•A harddisk with a n adapter cardalready installed.
•AharddiskthatsupportsOptraForms
TM with an
adapter cardalready installed. Refer to Optra Forms
for moreinformation.
•A harddisk adapter card for installing a separately
purchasedharddisk.
Complete the following instructions to attach the hard
diskto the adapter card. If your disk is already attached to
acard,goto“Accessingthe Printer System Board”on
page 201.

Attaching a Hard Disk to the Adapter Card

Youcan use the adapter card with any hard disk meeting
the following criteria:
•2.5-inch platter
•ATA-2(IDE) interface
•Maximum thickness of 15 mm (.59 in.)
Toattach the hard disk to the adapter card:
1Align the connector pins on the end of the hard
diskwith the connector on the back of the adapter
card.
