TheLexmark Optra M410n and M412n laser printers, Type 4045, have been tested and
foundto comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the
FCCRules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not
causeharmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,
includinginterference that may cause undesired operation.
TheFCC Class A limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interferencewhen the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equip-
mentgenerates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and
usedin accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to
radiocommunications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to
causeharmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interfer-
enceat his own expense.
Themanufacturer is not responsible for any radio or television interference caused by
usingother than recommended cables or by unauthorized changes or modifications to
thisequipment. Unauthorized changes or modifications could void the user’sauthority
tooperate this equipment.
Note:To assure compliance with FCC regulations on electromagnetic interferencefor a
ClassA computing device, use a properly shielded and grounded cable such as Lex-
markpart number 1329605 for parallel and 12A2405 for USB. Use of a substitute cable
notproperly shielded and grounded may result in a violation of FCC regulations.
